An Integrated Water and Power Modeling Package
This is an open-source optimization package that wraps a water accounting tool, MODSIM, which utilizes minimum cost network flow optimization to solve its network, with a nonlinear optimization technique known as the conditional gradient algorithm (a.k.a. Frank-Wolfe
algorithm) and a gradient ascent algorithm that solves a master problem decomposed by Lagrangian Relaxation. In particular, the application that these algorithms are applied to is connecting the simulation of a water system with that of a power grid of interconnected
power systems. Feedbacks between the hydropower system of rivers and reservoirs can be explored with those of the interconnected power system.
